My sister Katie is moving to D.C. on Friday. It is a decision that was a long time coming, but she decided last Thursday to move - this Friday! It is a bittersweet part of life. We were blessed with many, many hours together while we both stayed in Philadelphia for college and for a little while after. And now we'll be a little farther apart ...

It is difficult for me to put into words how much my sisters mean to me. Katie, Carissa and I are close in age; Erin came along a little while later. We were
homeschooled together, took dance classes together, taught dance together, went to church together, travelled the world together, shared a big
wardrobe and very rarely kept secrets from each other. We struggled much and laughed hard. As we've grown we've become very different people; but when it comes down to it, we have some kind of understanding, or bond, or something that links us. Maybe this is where the cheesy quotes about sisterhood come from - people like me trying to put into words what it is that makes sisters so special.

Anyway, here comes the part where we grow up. And I have an idea that this will be the best part yet.
